In 2007, Indiana University established the IU Center for Health Policy (CHP), a
collaborative, multidisciplinary research center within the Indiana University School
of Public and Environmental Affairs and the IU Public Policy Institute.
Eric Wright serves as director of the CHP. Our research addresses a number of critical health issues including healthcare for vulnerable populations,
healthcare reform, HIV/AIDS, mental illness and mental health services, obesity,
and substance abuse prevention and treatment.
Mission
The mission of the CHP is to collaborate with state and local government, as well
as public and private health care organizations, in health policy and program development
and to conduct high quality program evaluation and applied research on critical
health policy-related issues.
