In 2005, light trucks (pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, and vans) comprised approximately one-third of registered vehicles and 40 percent of vehicles involved in fatal collisions in the United States. This fact sheet analyzes light truck involvement in collisions in Indiana from 2003 to 2006, including trends in injuries and collision circumstances, relative risk factors, restraint use, alcohol involvement, and county comparisons. |
